David L. Boyd, Chancellor
For over thirty years it has been Mr. Boyd's privilege to lead The Taft University System, first as President and beginning in January 2012, as Chancellor.
He currently serves as a Trustee of the Orange County Board of Education.
Mr. Boyd earned a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Long Beach and a Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law. Mr. Boyd has completed post-graduate studies in Constitutional Law and English Legal History at Harvard Law School. Professionally, he is a member of the State Bar of California as well as a licensed certified public accountant.
Mr. Boyd served for twelve years on the Educational Standards Committee of the Distance Education Accrediting Commission. Over the decades he has been selected to serve on numerous university site visitation teams by accrediting bodies and state agencies.
Robert K. Strouse, Chief Operating Officer and Taft Law School Dean.
Mr. Strouse has over 30 years of experience representing and administrating private postsecondary education. As an attorney in 1984, he began representing postsecondary institutions with regard to regulatory and accreditation issues. From 1987 to 2004, he worked as in-house counsel for several private degree-granting universities. During this time he also served on a State of California Committee tasked with drafting the regulations for degree granting schools and was a member of several site review teams for the state of California.
He also served as a Board Member and Special In-House Counsel for Legislation for the California Association for Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS). Mr. Strouse joined The Taft University System in 2004 as its Chief Operating Officer and Associate Dean of the Law School. In 2009, he became Dean. Mr. Strouse serves as a DEAC site visit evaluator.
Dr. Neil Johnson, WHTU President and Chief Academic Officer.
Dr. Johnson brings over four decades of training, academic and business experience to the institution. He earned his Ph.D. degree from Colorado State University in Experimental Psychology, holds a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology and completed a two-year post-doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Denver University School of Professional Psychology.
He has served as Chief Academic Officer, instructor, course developer, and professor at nationally and regionally accredited colleges, and as a corporate director of training. He is internationally recognized for his published research on aviation safety and training of commercial and military flight crews, is a former member of the International Space Station Advisory Committee, and has extensive international business experience in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and South America. Dr. Johnson is a DEAC site visit evaluator.
